Greg Morawski Memorial Scholarship
One $2000 scholarship winner will be chosen
Eligibility
Students who wish to apply for the Greg Morawski Memorial Scholarship must:
Be a junior or senior at Notre-Dame Cathedral Latin High School;
Be a member of the Notre Dame-Cathedral Latin band;
Demonstrate good character; and
Plan to attend a two-year or four-year accredited college or trade school in the United States.
There is no entry fee or GPA requirement needed to apply. Scholarship money will be distributed after the applicant has enrolled in the college or trade school of their choice.

Applicants should submit a video or audio recording that addresses one of the following themes:
“Reflecting on your time as a member of the NDCL band, share a personal experience that deeply influenced your character. How did this experience shape your values and perspective, both within the band and beyond?”
or
“Share a unique skill or talent you possess and explain how you have leveraged it to enhance the NDCL band experience, either for yourself or others.”

When submitting please put your full name in the subject of the email.

Students should submit their story through one of the following formats:
Video: Submit a 3-5 minute video story by either sharing an .MP4 file directly or sharing a link to a file hosted on Google Drive, Dropbox, YouTube, or similar platform accessible to the review panel.
Audio: Submit a 3-5 minute audio recording by either sharing a .MP3 or .WAV file or by sharing a link to the file hosted on Google Drive, Dropbox, YouTube or similar platform accessible to the review panel.
You will not be critiqued on the video quality, or production value. The content of your story is the main focus. When submitting please put your full name in the subject of the email.
Entries will be evaluated on originality, clarity and passion.
Entries will be judged by a panel of parents and educators. All decisions are final.
2024 Scholarship Deadline
11:59 p.m. ET on Monday, April 15, 2024
Winner will be announced at the NDCL Band Awards Banquet.
$2000 Award
One winner will be chosen.
The scholarship must be applied to tuition or other education-related expenses. The award will be paid to the winner’s educational institution directly.
Why
Our son, Greg Morawski, was a proud member of the NDCL marching band. Greg loved the comradery and friendships that he found as a band member.
We are sure that Greg would have liked to help a fellow student in some small way by providing this scholarship to someone who shares his passion.
